The Tempest

Prospero, the Duke of Milan, was ousted from power by his brother Antonio and Alonso, King of Naples. Left adrift on a boat, he and his daughter Miranda survive on an enchanted island. When Antonio, Alonso, and others approach the island, Prospero uses his magical skills to cause a storm to shipwreck them there. Amidst chaos and repentance for their crimes, young love bloom between Miranda and Alonso’s son, Ferdinand, and they get engaged. Prospero eventually forgives his enemies, relinquishes his magic, and returns to his dukedom leaving the island under the care of his freed spirit Ariel. Continue reading The Tempest
